Originally from Grundy, Virginia, Dr. Sexton has lived in Johnson City, TN for about 13 years. He received his bachelor’s from East Tennessee State University, his Doctorate from South College in Knoxville, TN, and has trained in Electrodiagnostic testing in both North Carolina and Kentucky.

Since the start of his career Dr. Sexton has performed thousands of electrodiagnostic evaluations in many settings including neurology, orthopedics, family medicine and podiatry.​​​​
